It is fun and empowering to set resolutions for the new year! It also can be hard to maintain the change. The next time you fall off the resolution wagon, don’t be so hard on yourself! Remember, resolutions are really lifestyle changes, and the breaking of bad habits, and can be a challenge. The good news is that each day is a fresh chance to improve yourself!
#1 New Year’s Resolution is to Get Organized!
I get super stressed and frustrated if I don’t have my schedule planned out. It literally sets the tone of my entire day, if my desk is organized and my tasks and appointments are laid out in front of me. It’s taken forever to find the right planner that keeps me organized, motivated, and helps map out both my short-term and long-term goals–The She Did it All Planner!
The layout of this planner is generic, but still manages to guide me. I am able to use each field in a way that works for me, and the cool thing is that no two people will use it the same way! I also love being able to track my goal setting and progress. This planner becomes a record of my accomplishments. What’s more empowering than that?!
Primed for adventure, these wearable activity trackers will get your heart racing. I love mine, because I can trick myself into thinking my workout is a video game, and I’m just trying to level up! I love being able to track all of my stats and steps. It’s so rewarding when I beat one of my own records.
If you have a tween in your life, you’ve probably heard all about the Hydro Flask craze. One day, I was fresh out of water bottles, and needed one quick before my spin class, so I nabbed my daughter’s Hydro Flask, and can I tell you that thing is awesome! It’s a good size, keeps drinks cold, and the stickers are super cute! Plus, now I can horrify her by becoming a VSCO mom!
When air pods first came out I thought they were weird, but they really do make working out so much easier. I promise you won’t miss the tangled cord headache!
Don’t Lose Your Mind
Tired of losing things (or people)? Grab one of these incredible smart tracking devices.
I have the tile, and that thing basically paid for itself within the first month of owning it, when it comes to time I would’ve lost searching for my darn keys, that I have been able to spend working, instead! It’s also helped with the stress of misplacing items.
Stay on Top of Things
If you’re constantly missing phone calls, text messages, or other notifications, even when your phone is right next to you, it might be time to invest in a smart watch. The coolest part of getting organized, is that it leaves more time for wellness activities, like meditation and yoga with your kiddos!
If your little one wants to be your twin, you can even get them their own kid’s smart watch toy to match!
New Year’s Resolutions to Spend More Time with Your Kids
Instead of marking down “diapers” or “baby food” on that grocery list for the hundredth time in a row, make life easier on yourself. Get an Amazon Mom account, click the “subscribe and save” button next to all your top purchases, and get things delivered to your door the moment you need them.
There are other convenient options, too, like Instacart, Shipt, and free Whole Food delivery if you have Amazon Prime! Not only do these services save time, they also keep me on budget. I am way more likely to stick to my list (instead of impulse buying in-store). Plus, it goes back to the whole, “I could have been working and earning money, or playing with my kids” instead of shopping thing.
Nix the laptop and pick up an iPad Mini. You can carry it around in one hand, while jugging everything else you are carrying!
Get Out of Here
Start planning your next trip. Can’t remember the last one? Then it’s time you did something about that! It doesn’t have to cost a fortune to take your family on vacation!
Be Their World
Kids don’t need a ton of toys or things, they just want to be with you! Bake cookies, take a nature walk, read a book, have a family game night, or family movie night, and craft together! These are the things that kids will remember most–sharing your most precious commodity… time.
