Maple Walnut Cupcakes – An Easy Fall Dessert Filled with Real Maple Syrup

 These Maple Walnut Cupcakes are filled with sugar, real maple syrup and crunchy walnuts to make a decadent treat that is sure to bring the flavors of fall to you with every bite. Bonus: they are easy to make which means you can make them for those fall bake sales too!

When I think of Fall, I think of flavors such as pumpkin, maple and of course, all things baked.

These cupcakes are what I like to call a “crowd pleaser” which means you can make them in larger quantities and pass out at gatherings and people will love them!

Here is what you need to make Maple Walnut Cupcakes:

How to make Maple Walnut Cupcakes:

For The Cupcakes:

Preheat oven to
350° and place paper baking cups into 24 regular-sized muffin cups.

In a medium bowl,
mix flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl,
cream sugar, butter, syrup, and eggs.

Next, add maple
extract.

On a low speed,
alternate blending in dry mixture and milk. Stir in nuts.

Fill each muffin
cup up about 2/3 full and bake for 20-25 minutes until an inserted toothpick
comes out clean. Cool thoroughly before frosting.

For The Frosting:

Combine all of the
ingredients on medium speed. Swirl onto the cupcakes.

For The Topping:

Sprinkle each with chopped walnuts.

Then serve up and enjoy!

  • 2/3 cup milk

  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
